If you're ever in a hurry do not go to
Walmart! Just yesterday I headed in there to pick up a few things before my kids got out of school. With only 30 minutes until school got out, I decided to expedite my shopping adventure and go through the self check out line! After scanning all of my items and juggling Emily in the cart, my grand total appeared on the screen and I
swiped my card. That is when the nightmare began. The register would not stop blinking "completing transaction." With only 25 minutes to spare I waved down a clerk and asked for help. She was stunned and admitted she'd never seen a problem like that. Her answer was, "I guess the system is
frozed up." So she went to the faraway offices to cancel the transaction and see if my card had been charged. Of course with my luck, my card was never charged and so I had to
unbag all of my
groceries and start over. Now I only had ten minutes to get to a school that is at least 15 minutes away on a good day! Finally, with my
groceries and baby in tow, I flew out of the
store, and threw my bags and baby into the car. I nicely put my cart in a yellow stripped zone and began to get in my car, when out of nowhere a crazy nuts elderly lady came running and screaming across the parking lot. She yelled something like,"don't you dare leave your cart there. What if it hit
someone's car or even your car?" I could not believe my ears. Then she planted herself directly behind my car and demanded me to move the cart or she would not move from her spot. Feeling completely stunned and defeated, I ran the cart to the correct cart storage place about 10 minutes across the parking lot and ran back to the car. I wanted to run that darn lady over so badly, but I knew a trip to jail would only prolong my kid's pickup from school! Well, I was only about ten minutes late to pick up my kids and to top it off Jacob was so upset I was late because he was mourning his caterpillar's death. I'll save that story for another entry. Anyway, I guess all I can say is it will be a long time until I shop at
Walmart again...at least until tomorrow!
