I can honestly say I have done more school projects this year than any other year in my entire life. I have written more research papers and glued more papers on boards than I even ever attempted in college. But I must admit, my grades have never been better! Thank goodness for the internet and google! Why do these teachers assign so many projects? Don't they know they become my projects? I try to get my kids involved but it becomes painstaking and takes a whole lot of patience and time that I don't have a lot of! I think I have to finish up a pioneer covered wagon and a paper on monarch butterflies and then I'm on the downward slide. And on top of that they expect amazing teacher appreciation gifts and end of year gifts. Sarah's teacher even called me tonight and wants me to chaperone her class on a field trip so that she can attend her daughter's cheerleading tryouts! What do they do for me? Nothing, but assign projects. I am not touching one poster board this whole summer!
